The Basket in the Reeds
Long ago God's people were living in Egypt and they were very sad. A mean king named Pharaoh was not kind to them. But God had a wonderful rescue plan! One sweet mother wanted to keep her tiny baby boy safe. She made a little basket out of grass and painted it so it would float like a tiny boat. She put her baby inside and set the basket in the river water. His big sister Miriam watched from behind some tall green grass. They trusted God to protect the little baby.
