✨ The Story of the Baptism ✨
One day, Jesus went to the Jordan River to meet His cousin John, who was baptizing people. John was preparing people to follow God by asking them to repent of their sins. When Jesus arrived, He asked John to baptize Him. John was surprised and said, “You should baptize me, not the other way around!” But Jesus explained that it was the right thing to do to fulfill God’s plan. So, John baptized Jesus in the river. As Jesus came up out of the water, the heavens opened, and the Spirit of God came down like a dove. A voice from heaven said, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
